a blog about the NFT space

I hope everyone has been enjoying the holidays!
POAPs were a lot of fun during December. Engaging in the ONE37pm 25 Days of POAP was a blast, thanks to that team for creating educational spaces with artists, creators and others, and bringing more of us into the fold on various apps and worlds like Decentraland. Their final POAP was a collaborative piece of digital art where anyone who had one+ of their POAPs from the past month could participate in painting pixels together on the same webpage, and the end result was not only dope, but inspiring. You can see the result here. How incredible is that!? $SOS was a wild pop in the space and another learning opportunity for me in the crypto world outside of ETH. I noticed talk in various Discords and Twitter about it too late in the night on Christmas Eve to really do my own research, but I did claim my amount of the $SOS token Christmas Day. I then swapped a small amount of my ETH for some more $SOS as an experiment. To date, it’s dipped about 15% from when I swapped, but as of now I plan to hodl it and see what develops with OpenDao and their partnerships with marketplaces and such. Speaking of DAOs, I have to mention an exciting December development in one of the projects I'm a holder of, World of Women. World of Women is rebranding, and sharing a new level of their project they’re referring to as World of Women - Galaxy. I’m in love with seeing their new branding on a plane! Galaxy includes plans for a DAO called DaWoW, new merch, a renewed focus on charity, an extension of their current 10,000 pfp collection to include a new NFTs called Galaxy of Women, and a WoW gala in summer ‘22, most-likely in the States. I’m excited to see what the team does in 2022 and beyond. The space feels like it has something new everyday, and December was no different. Cheers to 2021, frens, and everything 2022 is sure to have in store for us!
